Surrounding myself with color

I am feeling the "almost Spring time but still probably 4 weeks of Winter left" blues...

I do like Winter - but this year I feel like I just can't wait another minute for Spring!  There's just too much
to look forward to in the coming months, and I'm a little bit beside myself...  my sister's wedding, and trips home to be with my family, the art workshop at Squam (!), the excitement of seeing grass and flowers again, the anticipated camping trips in our Pop-up...

ahh.

So I'm surrounding myself with bright colors in the mean time...

Madelinetosh DK in Well Water (it's like buttah!)  Bought here, for a Spring Cardigan.

and some lovely handmade ceramic buttons (probably for that same Spring Cardigan)...

some lovely wool roving, and seed packets for some upcoming felting and planting projects with the boys...

 dapper polka-dot bow ties for 2 dapper little men... made from a super tutorial on this site...

a big box of color cards, gifted to me from my awesome Father-in-Law who bought them back when he was in art school.  I don't know what to do with these yet - but for now I just like spreading them out and looking at them!

Paper stars to brighten up the living room, when there is nothing but white going on outside...
I think we'll try these stars next... aren't they great?
